Meet Jon and Ann. Aside from planning their wedding, they are using their free time to take on a labor of love together: the task of restoring Ann’s mother’s home to make it their own. The home is a beautiful white colonial with room after room full of sweet memories. And now they get to make some of their own as well. It is where they will become husband and wife, where they will live together, where they will raise their children together. I spent a Saturday morning exploring their new hometown and hearing all the tales of their renovation progress. We started at a historic theater in downtown, the Zebulon, and then made our way back to the house. It was an honor to document such a treasured family property, and I can’t wait to see it again this spring on their wedding day.
